AI tools that write, summarise, translate, design and code are now part of everyday work for many people. The big question is what that means for your own job.

Optimists say AI will take over the boring parts: drafting emails, filling forms, searching documents and repeating the same tasks every day. That leaves more time for creative work, problem solving and dealing with people, and could help small businesses compete with bigger ones.

Others are more cautious. They worry that some roles will shrink, that employers will expect more output for the same pay, and that people who do not learn new tools will fall behind. There are also concerns about mistakes, privacy and over-reliance on software.

For most people the answer will probably depend on the type of work and on how quickly they adapt.
